I think it's important to remember that Bill O'Reilly won't want to come off as the aggressor with someone as respected and well-mannered as Richard. He's blown up on guests many times, but usually these are people who don't have the class that Richard has. I think you can see in Sam's interview that Bill is making an effort to come off as a reasonable host. He's certainly going to talk over Richard, but I suspect we'll see a more adult Bill than was present in the recent Heraldo interview.

And Richard is so good with short, solid, quality soundbites, I think he'll do fine. It may take O'Reilly 30 seconds to say something, and Richard will reply with clarity in 10 seconds. Let's not forget that Richard confronts people with opposing views ALL THE TIME. Yes, the format is short, but this is Richard's bread and butter.

This interview is worth doing if only to reach a new audience. Some viewers will come here to RichardDawkins.net, and some will pick up The God Delusion. That's enough.

They are professionally manufactured DVDs. DVD-9 (dual-layer) if you're curious. Not burned discs.

Supposedly most new PAL players can play NTSC DVDs, but not the other way around. Also, most computer DVD players can play both formats.

I'm sorry, the DVDs do not have subtitles. I will keep that in mind for future releases though, thank you. Perhaps we could consider it for reprints of these discs.

For the record, when I first posted this parody I didn't have the "it's a joke" tag near the title. I saw a couple of comments that took it seriously and added the disclaimer. So the initial reactions of commentors unfamiliar with The Onion are pardonable of course, and who could blame them after so many similar real articles that seem unbelievable (the fire exit article, for example).

David A Robertson has been marked as a troll, and all of the responses to his posts have been moved to the troll thread. I have also marked David as a permanent troll, so if he would like to continue posting on this website his comments will go straight to the troll thread on ALL articles.

Sorry everyone who's having the timeout issue. I actually don't have a timer setup, something is just causing the session to end. Janus, sorry about that. I've had some issues with avatars doing that on short, one or two line comments. It won't break anything, so as long as it doesn't drive you crazy don't worry about it. You can also hit return a couple of times to add in some blank lines to fill out the space. I went in and did this to your previous two comments as an example. -Josh.
