51. Pat Robertson: God told me of 'mass killing' in 2007

Another ad campaign to get some funding and weak folk to sign up. "Hey the worlds ending come with us we will save you" Great idea if it were true. For some it is seen as true, so it's pretty easy for us to do the math. This comment wasn't for anyone here posting just for the large population that believe him through their ignorance and lack of truthful education. These people are the ones whom buy the wacko newspapers at the check out. Pat's success is in their wallets.

I have Read " The Creation " by E.O.Wilson and that might also do a the trick for a christian to see a different view. Wilson writes a letter to a pastor from his home town and does a good job of weaving in his points to the letter without being over powering which might appeal to someone who is a luke warm christian

Does anyone have plans to give a copy of the God Delusion as a gift on Xmas to a believer at all? I hear it said to send the book as a gift but wonder if anyone has done or is going too. I just see most people right from the start of page one that are God Believers to start bashing it. Maybe the Movie would have more of an impact :)

God does exist but only in Davids Mind. Shoudl we feel sorry for David having an imaginary friend?

Discussing this with delusional folk will not go far. Next article

How polite can one seem to come across as when telling someone who has believed in a God all their life that they are wrong. Right away one is looked upon as being mad in the eyes of the believer. After a while frustration sets in with disbelief that all those that do believe continue to believe. It can ware on one who is doing work like RD. All that said i must say i find Richard wonderful at what he does. He speaks so well and as for him coming across hard well you have to figure what he is addressing. It's a tough issue and needs the balance he provides in my opinion. I have turned a few people on to Richards work and continue too.

Joesph Morgan you are right. Lets stop saying sorry to those who do not deserve it ans stand up to them. Religions have to start taking responsiblity for their own actions. Its a slow procees but i think the talking is getting louder amongst atheists and its only time till others turn to truth. Since we are the living now we want to se it happen in our time. It may not but it will. Just like Kings and Queens the fading is happening because we don't need them anymore governments replaced them. We will replace religion.

58. Why there is no God

Asana,

Allow me to help you:

The 4 is not 'THE 4'. 'THE 4' is seperate form the 2+2 version of 4. This 4 is not that 4. That 4 is a different 4. All 4's exist seperate from all other 4's. Yet 4 is one entity except for 'THE 4', which is a seperate entity.

hmmmmmmmmm oh i get it

ever tried playing golf without FOUR - people can get hurt. :)?

I have a question and this looks like a great place for it.

I had a discussion with an Agnostic but did believe in something Past Friday.( this confused me)

He said no one can be true Atheist as long as we do not know what happened in the Beginning

I made my point that I was an Atheist and the debate started. He did not believe in a god as we know from the Bible or other books. But he said he believed something was out there like a god. His point to me is where "did the Big Bang come from"?. I told him well a lot of people are trying to figure that out as we speak. My answer to that was at this point it is irrelevant because I trace our existence to the big bang with scientific theory. We both do not have anything to go on past that point of the BB at this time. So Up to that point I am Atheist he said which leaves holes. That's as far as we can go. Can you be Atheist beyond the point of the BB if that's your theory you use to describe our beginning? Most theists refuse to discuss that far back.

Is this the point where a Theist wants to get to in discussion though so he or she can have you say "I do not know what happened before that time of the BB"?. My argument was that if they don't know where there God came from and we do not know where the universe came from before the BB, Lets not count that as part of the debate since they cancel each other out and deal with everything else.
