Yeah, I agree with hello, there is a god.

Good. All you have to do, is get to know him.

... in an elliptical fashion....

...and that the nearer the earth gets to the sun the faster it moves.

I think that is amazing. We are hurtling around in space on a lump of rock, getting nearer and further from the sun and going faster and slowing down.

So that is evidence for the power of belief,--which can also turn some people into and witch burners and suicide bombers. How is it evidence of God's existence?

Even we can defy gravity.

Peacebeuponme

Well then I'm off to church on Sunday.

Good plan, but make sure you choose a live church who believe in the power of God. It may just surprise you.

Are you really suggesting that predictions based on gravitational theory are only as reliable

No, of course not. But I am suggesting that people are not as predictable as gravity.

You believe in God BECAUSE you cannot see him?

No, not at all. I believe in God because I have seen the difference He has made in people's lives.

The problem for those who would have us believe in God is that his existence simply can't be demonstrated by any reliable means whatsoever.

indeed....anymore than you can reliable know anything about me, unless you want to know about me and I choose to inform you. But of course, I'm not going to do that if you have already decided that I don't exist and am not worth bothering with.

Religious people think science is boring

How many religious people have actually told you this?

I find science exceedingly interesting. I particularly enjoyed discussing with a physicist friend of mine how fascinating it was to find out that the earth goes round the sun....

How about I tell you about some experiment about gravity where there was an outcome predicted

How predictable are you? What do you friends say about you?

75% of Americans Christian
75% of prisoners Christian

Are these the same people? and how many of them decided to become Christians after they got put in prison?

So what does gravity have to do with God?

Just because you can't see something, doesn't mean it's not there.

"You can't prove gravity, therefore God exists".

No, this doesn't make sense at all. Where did you get that idea from?

Im pretty sure dinosaurs didnt worship any kind of celestial dictator (though I may be wrong)

Ah, so you meant there was no religion before man was about. Okay.

How is it that 1.6% of Americans are avowed atheists. And .0209% of the prison population is atheist. Shouldn't this materialism lead them to a higher rate of crime?

I bet they weren't christians before they went into prison!

There was a time before religion ever existed

Where is your evidence for such a claim?

Scientists assume, they then test those assumptions in a logical manner, using evidence. If their assumptions are wrong, they then abandon them.

Can you prove that gravity exists, other than by showing effects which appear to show that it does. After all, you can't see gravity, hear gravity, smell gravity, touch gravity or taste gravity!

I found a load of stuff in an instant by googleing "evolution of sexual reproduction"

Me too.....None of what I found explained the beginnings.

Can any of you clever scientists point me to a web-site which explains how sexual reproduction evolved?
