Religious belief in a moral good is not a suitable foundation for governing policy because it is not "a reason". It's a belief, and is therefore categorically different from reason. Government without reason is doomed.

I thought Ellen did a good job, and chose her words well, I think bigotry was particularly suitable, considering the company of Jesse Lee Peterson. Hopefully this made him realise that he is now propagating the kind of intolerance that his forefathers had to deal with, and overcome. I think he showed his blind bigotry very effectively by saying ignorant things like "...dar tryn to impose dar godless laafstaal upon Amerians..." and "dis country was built upon God, family and constitution" obviously forgoing the specific relationship of God to the state, that is written in the constitution. Don't even get me started on the "radical" homosexual "imposing" their lifestyle on Americans... Where did they find this moron.
