I'm afraid you've lost me here. In what sense could it be said that interpretation of Biblical texts has in any way "purified" the image of the Creator? The world is filled with sects squabbling over precisely what God wants of his worshippers- witness the ongoing schism within the Anglican community for a prime example of this.

How does evolution relate to God?

there's a big difference between the singularity at the centre of a black hole and the "singularity" that happened around the time of the Big Bang. So, even if the expanding and contracting idea was true, I don't think it would be possible.

I have a problem with the traditional church of Quetzacoatl; they've allowed the ordination of dragons to the priesthood and they're pretty soft on witches and warlocks...

The church of Quetzalcoatl is all-inclusive, not for us the bigotry and prejudice of the other faiths. Witches and warlocks are welcome within the church as long as they pay homage to me and use their powers for good deeds and, of course, to glorify me. And there's nothing wrong with dragons in the priesthood, they make very fiery preachers.

There have been suggestions... artificial "trees" that sequester CO2, or adding iron to certain areas of the oceans to increase growth of organisms that fix carbon

Quite frankly I think the money would be better spent planning for the future. How significant would such measures be? And I'm dubious about the plans to stimulate growth of oceanic carbon-fixing organisms- what effect might that have on the rest of the food chain?

Being skeptical about what action to take on climate change is quite a different matter. That seems to me to be reasonable. I haven't a clue what will work.

I think all we can realistically do is take steps now to reduce emissions and produce cleaner energy, to reduce future impact. We haven't got the technology to correct what's already up in the atmosphere working away.

Indeed, I never really caught onto this idea until I read about it yesterday- proponents of the fine-tuning argument never seem to acknowledge that the constants do not exist in isolation, and that there is a degree of interdependency between them and what happens in the universe.

You are making the mistake of stating that if one constant were changed, everythings falls apart. Why assume that only one constant would change? They do not exist in isolation.

I read yesterday about a physicist named Anthony Aguirre who calculated that a different set of physical constants could produce a Universe similar to ours. While our Universe was formed by a hot Big Bang, his calculations indicated that a cold Big Bang was possible in which all the heavy elements were produced in the first minute or so. Have you heard of this, and do you know of anywhere I could read more about it?
