You're asking us to come up with evidence that something that doesn't exist, doesn't exist?

One problem with the rural life, is we don't have theaters that play the classics. When I lived in a city last, we had an old movie house around the corner, where you could see "Brazil", "Rocky Horror", "Baghdad Cafe", etc. for $2. It is always better to see these films on the big screen, DVD doesn't do them justice. Plus, like "Rocky Horror", people would dress up, repeat lines, etc. Really fun.

"But what ties them together is a strong belief in Charles Darwin's theory of evolution, and a reverence for those who dedicate their lives to it."
Wrong again. We are rational thinkers, that's what binds us together. It just so happens, that rational thinking tends to lead one to accept evolution as fact. This article makes us sound like "Darwinists", which is a "believer" label, and a bad one.
[edit] oops, Apathy beat me to it.

Btw I thought rodthefarmer was Canada's top atheist.

The "little bastard" as you say, may actually help others in the class see science in a good way. He is probably the class nerd, others in the class will be thinking: Oh, if that's what he believes, then I better take a look at what Dr. Dawkins is talking about. I know if I had someone like Richard enter my high school science classroom, I would have been floored. I hope the rest of the kids appreciated what they had the oppurtunity to participate in.
[edit] besides, Richard sowed some seeds, sometimes that's all it takes with young minds.

I wish PBS in the states would pick programming like this up. They've really gone downhill since the republicans took over and appointed their own religious people in top positions. Also, I'm sick of watching how Exxon/Mobile or Texaco is doing such wonderful things for the environment.

And if someone doesn't agree with premarital sex? Sorry you've got the clap again Mr. Clinton, but I can't morally give you antibiotics, you've been a very naughty boy and god wants you to pay for it, that's why he gave you those yucky germs.

I am sure that Gregg knows all the risks involved, he's a pretty smart guy, unfortunately it is a difficult habit to give up. I think that when he says he chose his suicides well, he means that he knows that he should quit but decided he did not want to deal with the hassle it is to quit. Most smokers I know would like to quit but just can't, for whatever reason.
I was at my Dr.s last month and he had a patient that was having a heart attack. The paramedics were on the way and the guy gets up and walks out. I can see a guy being in denial if he has chest pain at home, but if your Dr. is saying you're having a heart attack, you might want to listen to him.

I think that it has a lot to do with where a muslim originates from. I went to college many years ago with some Indonesian muslims and they seemed mild at best. Some of the women were covered head to toe, some weren't. It didn't seem to matter. Three out of five in a Chem class would come to my place and drink beer and what not. According to them, islam was not as extreme in their country. Maybe it's changed?

It is a stretch to be a flea, but on the cover it does say, "A christian confronts the new atheists". He defines new atheists as Dawkins, Hitchens, Dennett, and Harris. So he is using these authors in a parasitic fashion. Maybe not as blatant as some of the others.
