Ha!

That's the beauty with forums. They start with debates on the LHC and end up with debates on Lithuanian mail order brides.

Dawkins must be proud of his members :)

Oh man, yeah, that reminds me, been meaning to tell ya....

I swear, I saw the old dude in your av in a porno!

He was banging "Lara Latex".
She's a hot little British piece of ass, lemme tell ya.
She's the porno twin of Tilda Swinton.
Yum yum.

And if by chance, that avatar pic is you, and you were in that flick *applause* good show, old boy!!

Well done, well done, old bean.
Yes, quite right.

Apathy Personified-

I've already added yours -

Cool. :D

Where does the title come from?

It's a word (I think) I heard in "Moron Movies".

It's a series of little 10-20 second shorts done on a literally zero budget, and one of them a guy gets a big spoon shoved in his face full of what looks like squash with birthday candles in it, and a voice offscreen says "have some shmegalamonga!".

And the guy holds his hand in front of the spoon, and goes "how do ya spell it? I don't eat what I can't spell!".

....boring story, I know. :P
I just like the word.
Pretty sure I misheard it.
If so, it's all mine. B)

When will our country wake up and get with REALITY!

Well, if history is anything to go by, rational people learn not to touch a hot burner after getting burnt once, and the rest of the dumbasses wait 'til their hand BURNS THE FUCK OFF!!

They have to do it.
They can't just LET GO of a bad idea, no, they need to RUN IT MILES INTO THE GROUND to be SURE it's a fuckin' flop.

You just gotta wait it out.
Only other thing that stops the process is to physically kill them.
And there's not enough bullets for all the morons in the world.

So yeah, going back to the stove burner, we have to wait until that last coating of ligament and binding cartilage blackens and crisps away, and they'll be on the same page as us.

...for five seconds until they find the next limb to burn off on the next stupid thing.

Wrights view that the government created AIDS to kill black people

No, but it's not too far off.

I think the bigoted morons in the Reagan administration saw it killing "the right people", saw it as God's vengeance, and sat on their hands.

If a radical lefty wants to call that a conspiracy, hey, a conspiracy would've gotten the same results, go ahead and let 'em, I won't even be offended.

Everything this election cycle I've been told to be offended by hasn't happened in me.

The shit that's offended me is the stuff mainstream America gets the warm fuzzies from.
Like this fundie shit.

But, even that's fading.
I'm figuring out once and for all that the human species really is a bunch of dumb animals.
Intelligence is a freak mutation.

We're outside of nature, my fellow freaks.

We need to make our own world.

Please allow for the fact that Quantum_flux is mentally retarded

Now, now, let's not insult the retarded.

A great many of them are capable of following long lists of instructions, and memorizing complex manual tasks, and have often in my personal experience displayed themselves to be superior employees in the service industry than your typical moron asshole American teenager.

They are also often prone to bouts of astonishing insight, coupled with unfiltered honesty.

For example, I had a retarded aunt who died before I was born who had my grandmother pegged as a "hateful bitch", long before the so-called able-brained members of the family dared to say so.

So, I'll thank you not to compare Quantum_Flux to the retarded.

The retarded are hindered, but not stupid.

QF is stupid, and chose his stupidity.

I laughed more at your little ditty about my name than this Stephen Colbert thingy.

Well, thanks. :)

I am wondering, what is the best way to react when you truly do not find something funny in a social setting?

Well, I remember being 12 going on 13 in the Boyscouts, and my troup being at my scoutmaster's house, and the scoutmaster's son making us watch Top Gun.
Everyone was laughing at the unfunny funny parts, and wooing at the unsexy sexy parts, it's a travesty of a fucking film.
I despised it, and I despised the situation.
What I did, was makes jokes at the screen (almost 10 years before they invented Mystery Science Theater 3000).
I had a blast, but everyone else wanted me dead.
I didn't care, I hated those assholes.

Now, as ugly as that got, and as unpopular as it made me, I consider the alternative, of playing along like a good little zombie, and even persuading myself that that shitty movie was good.
To this day, I would've had shitty taste on movies, I would've fit in with Boyscouts, and I might've joined the army at 18 or something.
Whatever the matter of degree, a conformity mass would have devoured me.
Mentally and physically.

Oh yeah, you bet I'd do it all over again.
(Mocking the movie that is).

Fuck that shit.

Top Gun sucks.
Top Gun sucks.
