Cut and past or caps locks...its still a product of the spittle you've managed to gunk up your keyboard with Joe. Your prophet was a paedophile and a caravan robber. Sounds pretty materialist to me...

I'm about to have a bit of roast topped with swiss dipped into some au jus here in a moment. Sweet!

p.s. re the sicilian...was death on the line?

-edit- or should I say savory instead of sweet?

Joe,

The Spanish did not intentionally do this. They did not want to work the land themselves. They wanted to be the land owners. I know you won't but if you wanted to clear up that little misconception you have about that you might want to look into the workings of the hacienda system. It requires a labor pool of grunts to do the work.

Joe,

did you drool into your keyboard again? Your caps lock seems to be malfunctioning.

Hmmm,

did anyone else notice that TWP's comment coincided with the number of the beast? Bwah hah hah haaa! The truth is revealed. If I knew how to photoshop (or really had the inclination to go beyond my current vegetative desk potato state) I'd add the appropriately demonic red eyes to her avatar. Maybe RM can do it since he seems to have a lot of time on his hands...

Do you think when Joe says "Ugly wretched atheist scum" it sounds like an Imperial saying "Rebel scum" in the Star Wars series? You can almost see a Jedi hood behind Epeeist's head I think...;P

Comment #213936 by Tezcatlipoca on July 19, 2008 at 8:46 am

Why divorce when you can accuse your wife of infidelity and kill her? Why report rape if it's accepted practice? Sexual morality is a relative term. If your magic book says having intercourse with a 9 year old is not immoral then it must be ok. The caravan robber is not a paedophile. If a woman carries herself in a manner that does not offend a man she may live. Dignity is not really an issue, servility is. A good dishwasher, mop bucket, and frying pan are probably valued as highly as these women.

So mutilating female genitalia, honor killings and such are the key to happiness then?

You are pathetic.

-edit- Vile, not pathetic.

Joe,

it doesn't work on you because you are a stupid, dogmatic moron. I hate to think I've tossed you a bone and fed you but it's obviously too late. Mohammed already did that while your forehead was pressed to the ground. I hear he's into that sort of thing and if you are too that's fine. Just because he confused you for a nine year old girl doesn't make you special or enlightened.

The Smiths and Morrissey always reminded me of theme music for stalkers and other violators of restraining orders. Not that I didn't like the music mind you. I listened to Everyday Like Sunday just a few hours ago...

Linkin Park is okay but in my opinion they don't sound very good "live".

With the Sicilian statement I couldn't resist.

From The Princess Bride

Man in Black, Vizzini: [they drink ]
Man in Black: You guessed wrong.
Vizzini: You only think I guessed wrong! That's what's so funny! I switched glasses when your back was turned! Ha ha! You fool! You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! The most famous is never get involved in a land war in Asia, but only slightly less well-known is this: never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Ha ha ha...
Vizzini: [Vizzini stops suddenly, and falls dead to the right]
Buttercup: And to think, all that time it was your cup that was poisoned.
Man in Black: They were both poisoned. I spent the last few years building up an immunity to iocane powder.

by that standard then Metro Detroit (saying Metro to include Dearborn and Bloomfield Hills) is the LA of the Midwest. Although I think it's Iraqis and Lebanese in Dearborn...

-edit- You can get really good food there though. The bread and hummus etc is excellent.

Team crash and burn was a group of us from work who would go and compete at the local hill. Kind of like league bowling at the local slope. I don't know if what I did could be called skiing. But it was fun and a good excuse to go to the hill and to drink afterwards.

is the Kuwaiti Ski Team similar to the Jamaican bob-sledders?

Would they remind me of the group of us (a fellow how's parent's were from Norway, a girl from the detroit suburbs, and myself a beaner-schnitzel) who's ski team was called team crash and burn?

TWP...

So Dallas is the LA of the South? Is that because of the sprawl, smog, and traffic? ;)

Did you get to the part of the Simpson's movie where Homer is in church and grabs the bible and says "there are no answers in here"?

I'm fortunate that my father, the retired science teacher/former alter boy/paratrooper drill instructor, shed the yoke of religion. There was the relapse in my tweens, which is why I was confirmed, but he shook it off. He was still the favorite of his ex-nun sister though but there was a bit of tension with the brother and sister inlaw who are in the choir.

I wouldn't say he isn't religious however...he worships fishing.
