I have spent the last 35 years of life a practitioner of fundamentalist Christian beliefs, but after studying the foundations of Christian belief along with works such as “The god delusion” have completely abandoned belief in what amounts to superstition and utter nonsense. I am no longer bound by the foolish beliefs that so many cling to despite real evidence exposing these ideas as purely man made. I find it amusing that so many people cling to these ideas (as I once did) despite so much scientific evidence to the contrary. It amazes me that many will say that science can't be trusted, yet those same people trust in science everyday when they do things like get on an airplane or take medicine. We don't look to the bronze age for guidance in any other areas of our lives, so why look to it for “spiritual guidance”?
