I find myself at a loss for words as to how I can express my gratitude and admiration for the insights Richard Dawkins has given me. For years I wandered in what seemed to be an insane, superstitious world, always wondering if I might be the only rational person to reject the ancient practice of belief in imaginary deities – and frightened of the evil I saw inherent in man-made religions.

Upon discovering the documentary The Root of All Evil? I was opened up to the community of reason. I am now halfway through The Selfish Gene and, with every page turn, feel my eyes open wider to the mysteries of the universe explained. I am truly grateful for Richard Dawkins’ crusade for science and reason, and hope that one day this sanity may overcome the shadow of superstition that haunts mankind.
