My parents were “Hardshell” southern baptist. I never subscribed to their beliefs and did not push my children toward any religion. I am proud to say that I do not believe there is a god. I retired from the Air Force after almost 30 years service. Men who I supervised used to tell me I was the fairest, straightest shooting person they had ever met that was not religious. I told them religion had nothing to do with it, that an individual does not need a religious belief to be a good, honest, moral person. I have read most of Dawkins books and just purchased “The God Delusion”, which I am really looking forward to reading. My children are all grown up and scattered around the world. I am going to send each of them a copy of “The God Delusion”. I know they will enjoy it as much as I.
