Dear Mr. Dawkins,
My husband and I had the “opportunity” to watch Expelled the other day, and your interview with Ben Stein was the highlight. The charming and good-humored way you dealt with Stein’s inane questions completely disarmed him and made him look like a buffoon without you apparently trying. I’ve been a journalist here in Hawai’i for many years, and I would have been embarrassed to be in Stein’s position.
I bought four copies of The God Delusion when it first came out and disseminated them among my family and friends. My 76-year old stepfather, a psychiatrist, said it helped him to become an atheist. I am aware you are also on the advisory board of the Secular Coaliition, of which I am a member, and it’s great to know we have someone as eloquent and charismatic to represent the atheists and other nontheists of the world.
