Professor Dawkins,

I started to doubt my faith in God as a young preteen, but it wasn’t until I started to really think about the origin of religion and the weight that may family was putiing on it. I am now 31 years old and I just finished reading “The God Delusion” and I have started “The Great Show on Earth.” It feels so good to know that there are so many people in the United States, that country I love so much, and the world, that feel that same way that I do. Over the last 12 years I have spent about 9 years living in Europe and have been able to get away from the politics of religion in the United States. It was a good feeling to hear Obama acknowledge non-believers during his inauguration, but we have so much further to go. I am still unable to be around members of my family that are ready and willing to accept the fact that I am an atheist, but you and the many people that are on your website and in your foundation have made me feel that I am no longer in the minority. Thank you!

Robert H.
