Like many of us, I wasn’t born an Atheist – I was born a Roman Catholic by default of my mother – but if I had been given the choice, I certainly would’ve chosen Atheism. For the first 16 years of my life, I was lead to believe that there was a God, the divine creator of all things. It wasn’t until the end of my high school’s compulsory science classes did I consider that there might be something else. Little did I know that my curiosity would spur me onto things much greater than I could appreciate or care for at the time.
Eight years later, objectivity and clear-thinking are at the heart of everything I do. I find myself plotting a career as a surgeon and trying to formulate a plan to eradicate MRSA and other such drug resistant strains of bacteria, with the natural selection at the helm. Great and nobel things for sure, but made exponentially more real thanks to you. Thank you for even considering taking on the mammoth task of attempting to banish ignorance, and instil the truth into the hearts and minds of our Earth’s inhabitants.
