Well, not really a conversion… , Good, Tue, Jan 29 2013 #(1378)

…but I don’t where to email where it would most likely be seen, in any case, I’d just like to say a huge thanks to you for helping me rediscover my childhood fascination with nature, and the world, and making it all the better for explaining it so eloquently in your books, (I’ve not read them all…yet). I now have a love of science, and a return to a ferocious curiosity that I feel science education in school tried to eliminate with sheer dullness.

I’d also like to thank you for helping cement my atheism (though some of the credit should be given to my boyfriend, who told me about you in the first place) and finally dismiss the ludicrous, airy fairy nonsense that some of my friends have tried to make a good case for. (Not just organised religion, but going to the lengths of psychics, fortune telling and the like). Again, childhood feelings were buried and have now resurfaced, and I feel I have an outlook on life that is much improved.

(If you were to ever read this). You have a brilliant writing style, funny and heart felt, and I think it’s wonderful. I have an overwhelming amount of gratitude to you and your wife, for being so lovely, witty and inspirational, and I look forward to reading the rest of your books.

Regards,

Michelle Gorman
