Low Moon (a poem), Good, Thu, Feb 07 2013 #(1861)

Feb 7, 2013

I suddenly saw the moon tonight,
three quarters of a monumental orange
hanging low on the horizon.
It appeared so close
that I fancied it was falling to Earth.

I was listening to
(This Is How You Sing) Amazing Grace by Low
and I thought, yes, this is it, amazing grace.

Not because of a god.
Millions of years of evolution
have given you a pair of good eyes.
And our sattelite plays a trick on them tonight.
