Dear Prof Dawkins,
My 6 year old daughter goes to a faith school though she is in the Religion: None category. I often wondered how she would come to terms with an atheist home life in the face of a religious schooling.
The other day she asked me “Daddy, if my tooth falls out, do I need to tell you?”
I was a bit puzzled by this question, but replied “well no, but why wouldn’t you tell me?”
To which she replied “I want to see if the tooth fairy really exists”.
I knew then that I needn’t worry about her attending a faith based school.
