To the Richard Dawkins Foundation for Reason and Science.
Hello my name is Nicolas. I’m 26 years old and I live in Córdoba, Argentina. I got my biologist degree in the National University of Córdoba a year ago.
I´m righting these words because I tried to buy some of the Richard Dawkins books but it turned up to be really hard to find them. More than a year ago, the Secretary of Inner Trade of Argentina blocked all incomes dude to instability in the national economy, until that moment, all Richard´s bock were hard to get; they were only found in some big libraries in Buenos Aires, but you could bought them if you wanted.
Now, after the restrictions applied to all the imports, those bocks are even more difficult to find. I was able to find “The Selfish Gene” in a store of used bock, and some others in digital format. We can’t buy them on line because the credit cards also have restrictions and the price of any purchase made with them is more than the double, even triple of the original price.
I believe that one of the purposes of righting a bock is to promote knowledge and make it accessible to everyone, that’s why i decided to write this letter, to let you know that the message of the foundation to promote science is not reaching the full extension it could get. I don’t know if this concerns the people who read my word, but I just needed to express the situation lived here.
English is not my native language so I want to apologized for all the mistakes I may have done in this letter and I stay patient for some respond.
Thank you for your time.
Nicolás de Vita.
