Dear Mr Dawkins
I hope that you actually read this sometimes:) because I would really like you to read this several words. I have been a non-believer for quite a long time now. However, I have to admit that I used to think that – yeah, Richard Dawkins is an amazing scientist and an amazing author (The Selfish Gene has actually changed my life), but isn’t he a little… hot-headed? Only recently I have read the “God Delusion”… and I had thought that it was going to be a light reading, as I don’t believe in god anyway, right? But it seems that book has changed A LOT. It was a delight to read something so immaculately reasonable! And very informative as well. And I realised that the temperature of Your reaction to religion is high, but definitely not TOO high. Actually, when I saw what attitudes you are sometimes fighting against, I realised you actually are a gentleman:> So, I would like to say sorry, for having judged you, without having all the knowledge to get the right to judge.
Needless to say, my own reactions to religion are now hotter and more radical than before; and I feel it’s right and natural. So I am totally on your side now.
So… Thank you for all your work, thank you for your courage, thank you for your perseverance. And – thank you for sharing it with us.
