OKLAHOMA CITY –

Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin has signed into a law bill that adds churches to the list of places where the so-called “Stand Your Ground” law is in effect and where people can use deadly force with greater impunity.

House Bill 2632 was one of eight measures signed into law by the Governor on Monday.

The bill adds places of worship to the list of locations where Oklahoma citizens have a “right to expect absolute safety.” The list already includes a person’s home and place of business.

Under the law, a person in these locations can use deadly force against a person who enters “unlawfully or forcefully.”

Fallin is still considering a separate gun bill that would allow people to carry firearms publicly without a license or training.

And if there is one thing that guarantees absolute safety, it’s guns. Lots of guns.

    Garrick says:

In this imperfect world there is no such thing as “absolute safety”. Give firearms to people for their safety, and they are still as fallible as they are now in distinguishing friend and foe or in just not knowing what they are doing. More firearms without the strict discipline applied in the military can only mean less safety. If I ever visited the USA, it would be just my luck to be shot dead by a toddler playing with the contents of its mother’s handbag. If that sounds ridiculous, consider this report.

So obviously – unable to connect these notions, she has a brain fully programmed in cognitive dissonance!

I wonder if she has considered letting people carry hand grenades without a license or training.

All the evidence shows that they stop attackers dead in their tracks! 🙂

  • However :- regarding the “right of citizens to safety FROM GUNS”, the UK takes pre-emptive action!

Two men have been arrested over an attempt to import a “deadly haul of firearms” similar to those used in mass shootings in the United States.

The weapons, including two AR-15 assault rifles and four handguns, were found by Border Force officers at Dover in April, hidden in the floor of a van.
