Mike Pence Says More Americans Believe In God Now Because Donald Trump Is President

By David Badash

Vice President Mike Pence delivered the commencement address to graduating students at a small, private, ultra-conservative Christian college in Michigan Saturday afternoon. Many consider the former Indiana governor a devout Catholic, and his speech certainly supported that perception.

The Vice President told the Hillsdale College graduating class that because Donald Trump is now president, more Americans believe in God.

“Faith in America is rising again because President Trump and our entire administration have been advancing the very principles that you learned here in the halls of Hillsdale College,” Pence said. “The principles that have always been the source of America’s greatness and strength.”

“Facts are facts,” Pence also insisted. “Faith is rising across America.”

  1. President Trump and our entire administration have been advancing the
very principles that you learned here in the halls of Hillsdale
College,” Pence said. “The principles that have always been the source
    of America’s greatness and strength.”…..

…. principles such as : how to screw over three wives, and pay hush money through a secret shell company?

Pence’s central claim is of course entirely wrong, as recent surveys have proved. Lying For Jesus is another principle no doubt learned in the halls of Hillsdale College, whose former graduates include current Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, and her brother Erik Prince, founder of the Blackwater company that supplies mercenary ‘security services’ to the US military in various war zones.

  2. It’s not that more Americans believe in God, it’s that the deluded fundamentalists have been given free reign here. They’ve been lying in wait and now they’re frothing at the mouth to have what they’ve always wanted – a theocracy. I fear that the average citizen still thinks religion is a good thing for knowing right from wrong and for building good character in children and teens and that they won’t react against the forces of religious tyranny. This strategy was used very successfully by the Muslim fundamentalists in their regions and what’s to say that the Christian fundamentalists won’t do the same thing? It works!

Pence is a snake in the grass.
