Jerry Falwell Jr.: Conservatives and Christians need to stop electing ‘nice guys’

Evangelical leader Jerry Falwell Jr. is blasting Republican leaders as “a bunch of wimps,” and suggesting that conservatives and Christians should stop electing “nice guys.”

“They might make great Christian leaders but the US needs street fighters like @realDonaldTrump at every level of government b/c the liberal fascists Dems are playing for keeps & many Repub leaders are a bunch of wimps!” Falwell wrote on Twitter late Friday.

The Liberty University president’s comments largely echo some of President Trump‘s complaints about Congress. Trump frequently derides Democrats for attempting to obstruct his agenda, and has been critical of Republicans for failing to alter congressional rules to skirt those tactics.

Falwell has been a vocal supporter of Trump dating back to the 2016 presidential campaign. He invited Trump to speak at the college’s 2017 commencement ceremony.

Obviously “junior” is still at the “spiteful infant” stage of mental development! – Also a possible explanation of his need for an imaginary Young-Earth father-figure to try to keep him under control!

  • It seems to be a very deliberate strategy of not just Trump but his apologists too to accuse their opponents of the very things for which they themselves are guilty. It’s the Democrats who need to stop electing nice guys and stop bringing knives to a gun fight if they’re ever going to get competitive. The Repugs vote in lockstep for whatever dear leader wants and in fact considered a rule change last month that would actually have prevented republican members of congress from voting with their consciences against the party wishes. Repugs display no morality whether it’s voting for sexual predators or to rip children away from their parents. I don’t believe that there has actually been such a thing as a republican leader who is a “nice guy” for many a year. They’re despicable to the core as far as I can see.

If Obama had come forward in 2016 with the Russian collusion evidence against the Trump campaign he might have spared the world from having the tangerine wankmaggot in the Oval Office but clearly he hadn’t learned enough from the 8 years the repugs just tried to block everything he wanted to do. Their only interest is winning by any means, however appalling those means might be. Fire needs to be fought with fire.

It is also a very well know form of self delusion and self deception – often associated with fundamentalist faith-thinkers’ collections of fallacious thought processes or spurious assertions!

Projection is the psychological phenomenon where someone denies some aspect of their behavior or attitudes and assumes instead that others are doing or thinking so.
It is usually seen as the externalisation of a person’s negative traits, placing blame on an outside force such as the environment, a government, a society or other people.
