    This past Saturday, 200 white nationalists gathered two blocks away from President-elect Donald Trump’s future home, exulting in a victory that has catapulted them out of the shadows. This M […]

    • This Monday, an organization called Turning Point USA launched a website called the Professor Watchlist, which provides the full names, locations, offenses—and sometimes photographs—of liberal academics it has singled out for ignominy.

      To the uneducated luney fanatic, watching professors is not for the usual purpose of learning anything useful about the real world, as regular students do.
      The purpose is identifying for abuse, those academics who challenge their ignorance and bigoted preconceptions.

      The “Turning Point USA” membership list of supporters of the “Professor Watchlist”, is probably prime material for the marketing of flea-books and publishers of conspiracy theories.

      They can turn in ever-decreasing circular thinking, with minimal contact with evidence of reality!

      The mission of the watch list, according to its website, is to “expose and document college professors who discriminate against conservative students, promote anti-American values,

      Those “mean professors” are probably failing students for producing “creation science”, or regurgitating right-wing ideological pseudo-history in academic work.
      Some professors may even be trying to teach the luney right, the use of scientific and historical research techniques!

      Like Ken Ham, “Turning Point USA”, are a serious threat in America, while providing comic entertainment at the expense of the stupid, in the educated parts of the world!

    • I notice Pete Singer on the list with a pastiche of his otherwise carefully nuanced and argued views.

      This site is formed by manipulative individuals depending on folk going no further in their research than their own supportive and deficient links.

      SJW’s and the regressive left have opened a door to visceral judgements that the alt-right will lead the rest through.

      Evidence and reason are so under threat right now. The US leads the way. The rest of us are right behind.

    • @OP link – Just four years ago, in 2012—the year Charlie Kirk, then a Chicago-based 18-year-old who skipped college altogether, co-founded Turning Point USA

      Ah! – The ultimate D-K political ideological fundamentalist or conspiracy theorist “expert qualification” on the evaluation of university courses, the accuracy of higher education programmes, and the assessment of the competence of professors!!! 🙂

    • So many parallels with totalitarian regimes. Lists. Naming. Registers. Words empowering the crazies. McCarthyism. The Star of David on shop fronts. Sorry for quoting scripture but it seems apt to describe those that have brought America to this precipice.

      Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. Luke 23:34

    • In 1984 George Orwell speculated in a throw-away line that perhaps Big Brother could be watching everyone all the time. Well that time has come. Networks of computers fed by browsers, i-phones, GPS, ubiquitous CCTV “security” cameras, infrared vision and remote audio devices compile files on everyone so comprehensive that they “know” more information about a person than he could possibly retain himself. Every email, text message, tweet, blog comment, phone call, i-phone photo, – every web site you visit, every product you purchase, every pertinent record of your personal, professional and public life, your precise movements and travel can be downloaded from computer files in one sitting. OK, maybe it’s not Big Brother or “The Gov’mint” (though it might be). In any event more and more of what we regarded traditionally as private, personal, proprietary, or confidential will enter a public electronic sphere. Privacy is dead. Public exposure is the new normal. Shame on our perverse genius. Better grow a thicker skin.

    • From the Mikado (and also spoofs of it)

      As some day it may happen that a victim must be found,
      I’ve got a little list — I’ve got a little list
      Of society offenders who might well be underground,
      And who never would be missed — who never would be missed!
      There’s the pestilential nuisances who write for autographs —
      All people who have flabby hands and irritating laughs —
      All children who are up in dates, and floor you with ’em flat —
      All persons who in shaking hands, shake hands with you like that —
      And all third persons who on spoiling tête-á-têtes insist —
      They’d none of ’em be missed — they’d none of ’em be missed!

      He’s got ’em on the list — he’s got ’em on the list;
      And they’ll none of ’em be missed — they’ll none of ’em be missed.

      There’s the nigger serenader[1], and the others of his race,
      And the piano-organist — I’ve got him on the list!
      And the people who eat peppermint and puff it in your face,
      They never would be missed — they never would be missed!
      Then the idiot who praises, with enthusiastic tone,
      All centuries but this, and every country but his own;
      And the lady from the provinces, who dresses like a guy,
      And who “doesn’t think she dances, but would rather like to try”;
      And that singular anomaly, the lady novelist[2] —
      I don’t think she’d be missed — I’m sure she’d not be missed!

      He’s got her on the list — he’s got her on the list;
      And I don’t think she’ll be missed — I’m sure she’ll not be missed!

      And that Nisi Prius nuisance, who just now is rather rife,
      The Judicial humorist — I’ve got him on the list!
      All funny fellows, comic men, and clowns of private life —
      They’d none of ’em be missed — they’d none of ’em be missed.
      And apologetic statesmen of a compromising kind,
      Such as — What d’ye call him — Thing’em-bob, and likewise — Never-mind,
      And ‘St— ‘st— ‘st— and What’s-his-name, and also You-know-who —
      The task of filling up the blanks I’d rather leave to you.
      But it really doesn’t matter whom you put upon the list,
      For they’d none of ’em be missed — they’d none of ’em be missed!

      You may put ’em on the list — you may put ’em on the list;
      And they’ll none of ’em be missed — they’ll none of ’em be missed!
