I still can’t see how this contraption cost $100 million to build!! There’s a lot of upset voters in the neighbourhood after finding out the state had helped finance, and gave tax exemptions. In the Universal Life Church blog the author of the article says…” …this wasn’t some mad man’s pet project…”. Look up definition of ‘mentally unstable’…[Read more]

Delusions aside, what do parents of those students think of the lack of professionalism. This man is a Dr of something, where ethics would / should be considered when making public statements on personal ‘beliefs’, in the capacity of his position as Superintendent. I would consider his behaviour as disrespectful, and lacking in professional…[Read more]

Discipline and punishment are two different actions / events. The first is to teach, the other is to harm, pretty straight forward. When a parent or guardian uses physical or emotional interventions with the intent to bring harm (in either form) then that is abuse, it is not discipline. They are not being taught a better way of doing what they…[Read more]

Wow, a strong indicator of desperate means by desperate people. Just stack the deck, play the numbers game, just like the Olympics. Never mind that they may not have any public service history, nor understand American democracy, nor have any expertise to offer their ‘constituents, nor grasp the fundamental difference between religion (guess work)…[Read more]

I live in Canada, a fairly civilized country I think. Our sense of morality would not condone lawmakers to create or support such primitive thinking / behaviour. Even our indigenous people quit ritual child abuse hundreds and hundreds of years ago, because they realized it was just wrong! When a person is suffering with a medical condition,…[Read more]

I concur that most politicians no little or nothing of the topics listed above. I do however think that Trump has created a Superbug / communicative disease, and his followers / believers are all stricken. I’ve coined it Donorrhea.

excellent. Yes pragmatic, but factual. far, far too deep for the likes of Ken Ham, Franklin Graham and all the others at the shallow end of the pool. I concur, no matter how one ‘interprets’ the biblical myths it remains to be abusive emotionally to children who have not developed the capacity to reason, let alone grasp the meanings of ‘faith,’…[Read more]

“Fake historian” love the term. I suppose that could also be another name for a creationist…. could it not? I struggle with language as in the above, “…. degree in christian education”, where is the credibility in the credential? Does it mean that he studied christianity so much he was awarded a degree from a university? And where would that…[Read more]

In British Columbia we have a ‘legal duty to report’ any suspicion of abuse or neglect. This may be what Australia also has. Their laws on child protection are far ahead of many other countries. When we have unstable people making ill informed decisions the results are never good. I would hope that the definition of ‘a duly qualified practitioner’…[Read more]

I’m surprised she’s still allowed to speak in public. And if she was paid to speak, what does that say for the sponsor….? From MarsFKA’s comment I’ll assume her speech wasn’t in Alaska…? Laughter right out of a Monty Python flick! He’s not a scientist, he’s as witch!

In the present political crisis Americans have brought upon themselves, try to imagine Donald Trump as President, and this character, Graham, as Vice…… just try to imagine the impact of such bigotry and intolerance on a nation so heavily armed… the pack mentality of people filled with hatred of everyone who is a ‘sinner’. Or in Trump’s…[Read more]

  • If I was a parent my first reaction would be to protect my children from such predators. Describing as they do that public schools are a good place to “fish” i.e. prey on children, is something which all school […]

  • Wow! So many things wrong with this! As hard as it may to believe, Americans, who boast of just about anything you can name, are not signatories to the Convention on the Right of the Child, so do not support […]

  • …..land of the free and home of the brave?? I don’t see a match here. I guess this is an example where pro choice doesn’t apply. Just thinkin’.

  • We here in Canada are subjected to the same mind-set, particularly in the past two terms of the previous Conservative government. Archaically similar, Supreme Court judges are appointed / selected based on the […]
