Yip. . But we ie the west ignore it and say their primitive culture trumps basic human rights. We should be imposing economic and other sanctions until this disgusting behaviour stops but we don’t! Why is that?

The hypocrisy of the Western ‘advanced’ societies in the way they apply sanctions for some things like apartheid in South Africa and in north korea and Iran for their military threats while associating with Saudi Arabia is sickening. Systematic abuse of 50% of a population ie women is surely a crime against humanity in any civilised…[Read more]

Emotional nonsense. Humans eat anything that is edible. Animal cruelty it the issue.
There is no moral difference between slaughtering millions of cattle, sheep, horses or dolphins, whales, tuna, fish, dogs, cats, chickens, turkeys, snakes, crocodiles, seals etc etc.
I am a vegetarian and find killing of anything to be repugnant however I…[Read more]

The article is probably correct in its assumption about the ridiculous inhibitions about sexuality that have christian origins. I’d submit however that the sexual freedom experienced in many societies nowadays would be catastrophic without contraception as many of the taboos and controls were attempts to limit unwanted pregnancy and to…[Read more]

How can National Geographic editors allow bigoted drivel like this

“Some of the humanist movement’s most visible figures aren’t known for their respect toward women. Prominent atheists Sam Harris and Richard Dawkins have awful reputations for misogyny, as does the late Christopher Hitchens. Bill Maher, the comedian and outspoken atheist, is no…[Read more]

Tragic. Pity the parents are not the ones personally facing the consequences of their primitive beliefs and losing their own lives instead of those of their children. At least then the gene pool might improve!

I think you are all missing the main catalyst for radicalisation. It is the incredibly effective worldwide indoctrination system that Islam has developed. It is a brilliantly conceived management system which enforces strict discipline over all Moslems and which is strictly “policed” by the daily rituals that have to be followed (prayers…[Read more]

Isis is fighting a media war and an economic war and the west are playing straight into its hands. The response that the death of a “few” people killed by a crazy ISIS bomber creates is totally out of proportion when compared to the number of criminal homicides, road deaths, USA shootings etc. The “few” western deaths, caused with very…[Read more]

The merger gives more clout in one way but risks becoming just another interest group that may lack impact. RDFRS has developed an amazing awareness of the need for reason to replace superstition etc largely because of the incredible personal effort that RD has put into it, both within the organisation and via his best selling books, BBC…[Read more]

  • Jerry, I think this guy is someone you could safely ignore. His logic is absurd and he clearly doesn’t know the difference between faith and hope for a start let alone between faith and fact. His airline […]

  • I’d add that the Islamic belief management system is so effective that Islamic religion and culture have become synonymous.
